I support:
Our Farms and Small Businesses
- weddings and small concerts are good for business.
- They will help attract young professionals. they will bring business to our hotels, restaurants, florists, caterers, etc.
Affordable Housing
- we need more affordable housing & housing that is affordable. With 11.8% of our population living under the federal poverty line we need more than 5% affordable housing.
Infrastructure
- new high school
- road repair
As a member of the board of selectmen, I am committed to seeking community involvement during my 3 years in office.
The affordable housing trust is important for our community, especially the 11.8% of our residents who live under the poverty line. Once the trust is set up many questions will come to the selectmen about space and resources, I am committed to making Williamstown a hospitable place for low income, young and older residents.
I am also committed to supporting our local farms and businesses. This includes my wholehearted support of the 3 warrant articles to allow weddings, small concerts, and arts and yoga classes at our farms.
Once these articles pass at town meeting I am committed to working with farms and local residents to make sure that amplified sound permits are issued in a manner that everyone’s interests are heard and respected.
Williamstown is a great place to live, work and shop. I want to make sure we continue to welcome new members and businesses to our community.
