 What is design?  How do we think about design.  Bad design can have serious implications: 

-Think of powerplants?  One wrong click and millions die. 

-Think of military?  Designed to be percise. 

-Mars Orbiter example:  Failure to convert british to USA measurements sent the orbiter off in to space, billions of dollars lost.
