One week to go, Oh MY!
Design is basically done, now making sure it is ok across browsers and is valid. Sees like a couple of the plugins have a bit of invalid code, tisk…tisk Ill have to look at that, yip-yeee, not.
I dont think I have a gradeing rubrixk, didnt have a sponsorship letter either, just got that in this week (sponsorship_letter.doc). Ahahahahah. Ill get the grading rubrick done tomorrow.
Overall though this is going well, I think. My client is extremely happy with the site, I have done some rather spiffy things with the site, that my boss is stoked I can now do cause it will help at work as well. I have done some cool things on the admin panels for my client and I look forward to our training session this week.
Upgraded to WordPress 2.6 this week. Version 2.6 will give my client some extra things in regards to image and file management so it was a good move. Did take some of my pressious time though (well you know wordpress and the 5 min upgrade/install)
Cross-browser: IE6 scares me. I have been having so many issues with this browser at work, esp. as my css is getting a bit trikier. Why people dont at least upgrade to IE7 is beyond me.
I have to wrap up final usability testing this week. Mid project I was going to do a test and realized that it was not good timing. I think we are more than ready now and I should be able to compile some good feedback from this.
Im also working on a wrap up paper as we speak that will give a wrap on process (project management) stuff.
Last night I had to have a talk with my client about “scope creep” as she started having even bigger ideas in her head. Since this project does not end for me on Aug. 2nd when I present I explained that some things will have to wait. Managing clients is have of the task really.
As the site is hosted on my work server I am still waiting on my boss to change server settings so that that the domain name, which points to the right spot, is properly handeled by the apache server (this is the one thing he has not given me access to do, check and balences I guess) Once that happens (hopefully this weekend) I can set up the permalinks and a couple other link related things.
